Lindsay Lohan was granted a restraining order against her alleged stalker David Cocordan.Lindsay Lohan can hopefully sleep a little easier now that her alleged stalker has been legally prohibited from contacting her.
The young starlet took her fears public Monday, posting a picture on Twitter of a man named David Cocordan and claiming he is "the freemason stalker that has been threatening to kill me- while he is TRESPASSING!"
A few days prior, Lohan went to the police, who upon investigating, discovered Cocordan had "a significant psychiatric history" and may be schizophrenic.
It wasn't until Thursday, however, that Lohan ramped up her attempts at legal protection, by providing a signed declaration that claimed Cocordan, who has at least five aliases, has allegedly contacted her for nearly two years "by unwanted and unsolicited phone calls and text messages numbering over one hundred, in which he has expressed delusional thoughts and irrational feelings about his belief that we are in a relationship."

The actress, 24, went on to describe three visits he allegedly made to her home and to two public appearances, and provided copies of text messages, some of which contained explicit language, to substantiate her claims.
Lohan said she is "afraid" Cocordan "intends to sexually assault me" or that his behavior would "escalate" in some other way.
"Without a restraining order," her statement said, "I fear there will not be sufficient law enforcement mechanisms to keep Mr. Cocordan away from me, or those around me."
According to TMZ.com, Lohan was granted a temporary restraining order.
When Lohan revealed the issue on Twitter earlier this week, she asked for "all my fans, my supporters" to "please stand by me."
