Gary Busey's son should be home by the end of the week after treatment for a 'childhood illness.'

Gary Busey's had a tough week.

Donald Trump handed him a pink slip on Sunday's "Celebrity Apprentice," and now, the 66-year-old actor's son, Luke, has been admitted to Cedars-Sinai hospital in Los Angeles after a medical scare, reports E! Online.

Busey's rep told the site that 1-year-old Luke is being treated for a "childhood illness" and that the family expects him to be home by the end of the week, but didn't elaborate any further on his condition.�

Luke is Busey's only child with fianc�e Steffanie Sampson. He also has a son, actor Jake Busey, and daughter, Alectra, from previous relationships.

"Gary is very grateful to his fans for their love and support," the rep added. "Steffanie and Gary thank everyone for their get well prayers for Luke."
