Gwen Stefani Donates $1 Million to Japan Victims

There's no doubt Gwen Stefani is charitable, especially after she announced Wednesday that she has donated $1 million to help victims of the devastating Japan earthquake and tsunami.

According to UsMagazine.com, the No Doubt singer's donation will go to Save the Children's Japan Earthquake-Tsunami Children in Emergency Fund. Those familiar with Stefani's music and fashion line know the Japanese culture is close to her heart.

"I've been inspired by Japan for many years and have a true love, appreciation and respect for the Japanese people and their culture," Stefani told Us in a statement.

"The disaster in Japan is beyond heartbreaking, and I want to do anything I can to help. I would never be able to make a gesture like this without the love and support of all the fans over all these years," she continued.

Her charitable efforts don't stop there. Stefani, who is behind the L.A.M.B. fashion line, will introduce a limited-edition Harajuku Lovers T-shirt on

next week, with all proceeds going toward relief efforts.

Stefani's donation matches Sandra Bullock's $1 million contribution to Japan and joins several other celebrities who have vowed to donate to the disaster-stricken country.
