Armie Hammer crowned as 'Snow White' prince

Mar 27, 2011

Armie Hammer is going from playing a couple of Harvard royals to the real (fairytale) thing.

The Social Network star, 24, has been cast as Prince Andrew Alcott in Snow White, the upcoming (June 2012) film featuring Julia Roberts as the Queen. Shooting starts in May.

This version is being billed as a modern retelling of the Brothers Grimm story: "After her evil stepmother kills her father and destroys the kingdom, Snow White bands together with a gang of seven quarrelsome dwarfs to reclaim what is rightly hers," according to a statement from studio Relativity Media.
