CW is tuning up for fall with three new dramas, a trio of reality shows and a new chief.
The network has turned to the producers of its high-profile Vampire Diaries and Gossip Girl for new shows to pair with them. And it has Sarah Michelle Gellar, the star of Buffy the Vampire Slayer, in a new drama originally developed for co-owner CBS.
In a presentation to advertisers Thursday, Mark Pedowitz, a former chief of ABC Studios, unveils:
? Ringer, which stars Gellar as a woman hiding from a killer, who impersonates her wealthy twin.
? Hart of Dixie, a dramedy starring Rachel Bilson (The OC) as a doctor transplanted to a small Southern town.
?The Secret Circle, about a witch (Britt Robertson, Life Unexpected) who's part of a secret coven, based on a book series.
CW also is boosting its reality plate with H8R, which matches celebrities (Snooki, Kim Kardashian) with ordinary people who hate them; and for midseason, The Frame (a twice-weekly variation on Big Brother) and fashion series Re-Modeled.
