Dougie Poynter's mother Sam Moody has revealed that Frankie Sandford tried to apologise to her after she dumped her son.

And while Sam admits she doesn't hate The Saturdays stunner, she's certainly not interested in talking to her.

'I don't like the fact she hurt Dougie, but I don't have any animosity towards her,' says Sam.

'She texted me saying: "Sorry about me and Dougie" and I didn't reply.

Dougie, 23, is now out of rehab and will join his McFly bandmates on tour this week.

Sam knows losing Frankie, 22, after 2 years together was really tough for her boy.

'He was broken-hearted - really down,' she says 'It was a kick in the teeth, but what do you do? I hated seeing him so upset - maybe it's because she was his first love.'
